Experience the Chongqing you can't Google.
Local knowledge, curated for curious travelers. Street food, hidden spots, and the cultural context that no algorithm will ever surface.
Why yedu?
Yedu is an independent travel platform built around one idea: experience the Southwest China the way local actually live it.
No generic itineraries. No tourist traps. No content written by someone who visited once and moved on. Just honest, local knowledge from people who grew up here : covering the food, the streets, the hidden spots, and the cultural context that makes it all make sense.
Everything Yedu produces is built for the traveler who wants to go deeper than the highlights reel, and experience Southwest China the best way as it is.

yedu Chongqing Tours
Three hours, six stops, one neighbourhood no tourist goes to.
We start at 6:30pm and eat our way down one street in Houbao, Chongqing locals’ reserved riverside block: hand-folded dumplings, steamed buns, ginger duck noodles, skewers over charcoal, wontons in red oil, and something cold and sweet at the end. Six stops, about a hundred metres apart, in groups of no more than six.
Your guide does the ordering, the translating, and the talking to the owners. When the last bowl is empty we walk five minutes uphill, and the whole river lights up below you.
¥500 per person. This €20 is the deposit; the balance is due on the night by WeChat, Alipay or cash. Message us with your date before you pay and we'll confirm the evening within 24 hours.
One day, zero fixed stops, built entirely around whoever's coming.
This city rarely goes where a map says it should, so neither do we. Tell us who's coming, what you're curious about, and how much walking anyone's actually up for, and we'll shape the day around that, staircase by staircase, teahouse by teahouse. Same Chongqing we've spent years figuring out, just arranged for nobody but you.
Especially good for multi-generation families, first-timers who want comfort over a checklist, and friends with different tastes. We set the pace, handle every ride, and keep tired legs in mind.
Seven hours with an English-speaking guide, transport and a local lunch included, tickets and restaurant bookings handled. Online support from the week before you land until you leave.

Yedu Blog
“My guided tour in Chongqing was much more than a sightseeing experience – it was a deep dive into the soul of the city.
By the end of the day, I felt like I hadn't just met a guide, but a friend.”
— Fernanda, Brazil

Houbao, a 1980s neighborhood on Chongqing’s south bank, came back to life without moving anyone out. Here’s its story, and why its street food shines at night.
